Jasper is really pretty, all tall mountains and forest. We have several hikes planned out, including a night hike tonight to see stars. The train was fun. The berth don't really have privacy, just curtains, but it was ok. Food is good, and there was a lot of tea and coffee (see previous comment about coffee in Canada).
Our room in Jasper is more like a small apartment, with a small kitchen and a living room separate from the bedroom. We found the grocery store so we don't have to eat breakfast out. Hotel also has a laundry, so yay.
We got told when we checked in for the train in Vancouver that our second leg of the trip, from Jasper to Toronto, got upgraded to a cabin. That is really exciting as the cabins are really nice.
The liquor store had ice cider. Be jealous my cider drinking friends, none of it is coming home!
