Ok, so there's a bit of a theme to this year's requests:

Lady Detectives!!

A few over all notes to start:
I love crossovers, and if it's a detective show that's:
1. Available in the US, in English, on some form of streaming service
2. Not set in the US
I've probably seen at least one episode. You can also check previous year's letters for lists of favorites, or favs spotted in this year's tagset: Bletchley, Death in Paradise, Father Brown, Foyle's War, Jonathan Creek, Midsomer, Murdoch, Rosemary & Thyme, Murder She Wrote, Ms. Fisher's Modern, and New Tricks.  Vera and Alexa would either be new best friends or have the Worst Power Struggle.
Detective team ups are wonderful. Casefic is awesome, crack detective team ups are love (and I mean that. You want to toss Detective Pikachu in there? go for it), I also like character profiles, or backstory, and worldbuilding. Happy endings only please (a solved case counts).
I DNW AUs if the detectives stop being detectives. I'm fine with most other AU/canon divergences.
I DNW porn. No canon-character death (please kill OCs for your murder victims if you're going for that)--if they're alive still in canon they should remain so. Please keep sexual violence to aired on TV levels--in general think 'safe for network broadcast' for both sex and violence. Don't maim the detectives (but feel free to beat them up). I particularly dislike the tropes of 'accuse the detective of a crime' and detectives breaking moral codes/otherwise becoming villains.

The Fandoms:
My Life is Murder:
Lucy Lawless! Adorable padawan! One season only, and available on Acorn TV! What's not to love? I love that Alexa has all the deadpan Done With Your Shit that I've loved about Lucy playing strong women, along with the retired 'I don't actually have to care'. We should all be so cool in retirement. Time shift would be cool--a case from when she was on the force (or Alexa telling Madison about her and Keiran's first case together)? Backstory about Gary and what happened there, with Madison finding out more about it? Her and Madison bonding? How did she meet George and start being his bread supplier? I feel like She and George totally have a history where she has arrested him at least once.

Queens of Mystery:
Matilda is one of my new favorite detectives, her and all her busybody aunties. She's so cool! They left a LOT of questions unanswered. So feel free to answer any of them. Who's the crow's owner? Who's her dad really? What became of mom? Or more about any of the aunts, they've had long lives. Have they solved crimes when Matilda was little? Small Matilda and the aunties vs. some bumbling cops and A Murder. It's pretty clear from the DCI's intro that the aunties have A History of Meddling.
Matilda totally solved odd petty mysteries like lost dogs as a kid.

Vera:
Vera will have none of your nonsense. I love how in charge and sure of her abilities she is. I'd love to see more about how she got where she is, the rank she has being harder for women to get. Or more about her father and the history there. I love the setting a lot too, it's a part of England that doesn't seem to show up a lot. Vera always seems so on top of things professionally, even when not personally, it's interesting to see her flustered or out of her depth. I also really like her kinda maternal relationship with her team. I especially like the banter between her and Kenny, that speaks to their long familiarity.
